Freedom Day Message from Mayor Jeremy Fasser 🇿🇦On this special day, we join together in celebrating Freedom Day — a moment that stands at the heart of our democracy and reminds us of the courage, resilience and unity that shaped our nation.Freedom Day is more than a public holiday; it is a powerful reminder of how far South Africa has come and the shared responsibility we all carry to build a future rooted in dignity, equality and opportunity for all. It is a time to honour our history, reflect on our journey and renew our commitment to strengthening the bonds that unite us as one nation. As residents and visitors of Stellenbosch, let us celebrate the richness of our diversity, take pride in our communities and continue working together toward a brighter, more inclusive future. Together, we can shape a nation that we are all proud to call home.May this day be filled with joy, reflection and quality time with friends and family. Please travel safely on our roads, take care of one another and enjoy the spirit of this day.Wishing everyone a very happy and blessed Freedom Day.Mayor Jeremy Fasser See MoreSee Less

Following last week’s heavy downpours, sediment and debris have accumulated in various locations and our teams are actively addressing this as part of an ongoing cleaning and clearing process.
