26 March 2025
Stellenbosch Traffic Services is pleased to announce that the new Computerised Learner’s Licence Testing (CLLT) programme will officially be operational at the Stellenbosch Driving Licence Testing Centre (DLTC) from Friday, 28 March 2025.
This long-awaited system brings significant improvements to learner’s licence testing, enhancing accuracy, security, and efficiency by incorporating modern technology. One key advantage of CLLT is its ability to eliminate certain risks associated with the manual written test process.
Impact on Appointments:
Due to the deployment of the new CLLT equipment, classroom capacity has been reduced from 20 to 15 applicants per session. Unfortunately, this means that some applicants with existing appointments will be affected. The Stellenbosch DLTC Management will directly contact all affected applicants to make alternative arrangements. If you are not contacted, your scheduled appointment remains unchanged.
Please take note of the following:
Learner’s licence test appointments from 28 March 2025 to 13 June 2025
Driver’s licence tests are NOT affected
To mitigate the impact, Stellenbosch DLTC will utilise Saturday bookings where possible to accommodate affected applicants.
For any further inquiries, affected applicants may contact DLTC Management at 021 808 8822/32.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we transition to this improved system.
