Energy Efficiency and Awareness Competition
Attention all primary & high school learners in Stellenbosch!
Do you have bright ideas on how to save energy, reduce waste and build a greener future? This is your chance to shine!
In partnership with the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy, Stellenbosch Municipality presents the Energy Efficiency and Awareness Competition—where YOUR ideas could help shape a smarter, more sustainable future!
HOW TO ENTER:
- Write an essay on "How to Save Energy, Reduce Consumption, and Be Sustainable."
- Work alone or in pairs.
- Keep it under 4 pages.
- Submit by 28 February 2025.
THE FINAL CHALLENGE:
The top 5 schools from each category (Primary & High Schools) will move to the next stage! Finalists will present their ideas in a PowerPoint Presentation on Energy Efficiency Day!
What will judges look for?
- Creativity – Original & fresh ideas!
- Feasibility – Can it actually work?
- Impact – How big of a difference will it make?
- Knowledge – Do you understand energy efficiency?
- Presentation skills – Confidence, clarity & style!
