Tender BSM 111/21: JAN MARAIS SUBSTATION UPGRADE (CIVIL, ELECTRICAL AND STRUCTURAL WORKS). ADVERTS ONLY

CIDB:                                   Class of Construction Works: minimum of 3CE or higher.

There will be compulsory Clarification Meeting and afterwards a compulsory Site Meeting.

 A Compulsory Clarification Meeting will be held on 21 October 2021 at 10:00 at the Stellenbosch Municipality Beltana Depot, Helshoogte Road, Stellenbosch. Afterwards a compulsory site meeting will be held on the same day (21 October 2021) at 10:00, at Jan Marais Substation. Tenderers who fail to attend the compulsory information sessions will be regarded as non-compliant. In terms of COVID 19 Compliance the following regulation must be adhered to. If the number of Tenderers exceeds 20 people, separate briefing sessions will be scheduled on the same day at different time periods to ensure social distancing. If Tenderers did not register in this time slot, they cannot attend the meetings. Therefore, it is requested that only 1 representative of a company attend the briefing session. Tenderers must ensure that they give notice to the Beukes Kotze by email Beukes.Kotze@rhdhv.com that they intend attending the meeting. Email address and cell phone number will be required. Notice must be received at least 48 hours prior to the meeting (i.e. by 19 October 2021 at 10h00) to enable the department to determine if separate meetings are required and to provide attendance times to prospective bidders to ensure COVID 19 Compliance are adhere to. No walk through. Prospective bidders will only be allowed to enter at a time allocated. Masks must be worn (NO MASK NO ENTRY).

Local production and content is applicable to this bid. Bidders must use the exchange rate published by the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) at 12:00 on 8 October 2021. The guidance document for the calculation of local content is included in the bid document and is also available on the municipality’s website by following the Supply Chain Management link. If raw material or input to be used for a specific item is not available locally, bidders should obtain written authorisation from the dti should there be a need to import such raw material or input. A copy of the authorisation letter must be submitted together with this tender document at the closing date and time of bid. Please note that the requirements in terms of local content are fully obtained in the tender document.
