TENDER BSM 11/23 - UPGRADE OF CLOETESVILLE SPORT FACILITY FLOODLIGHTS
The project entails the removal and replacement of the existing old technology floodlights on four (4) existing high mast poles at the Cloestesville Sports field located in Cloestesville, Stellenbosch. The existing lights will be replaced with new LED technology floodlights as specified in this tender document and includes the implementation of a remote user control system. The scope further requires the replacement of the existing LV network and distribution boards as well as minor structural modifications to the existing high mast poles to improve the durability and vandal proofing of the new flood light installation.
CLOSING DATE: 28 NOVEMBER 2022
CLOSING TIME: 12h00: Bids will be opened in the Council Chambers or Supply Chain Management Boardroom.
CIDB: The following CIDB class of construction works will be applicable to the Tender, in accordance with the sum tendered or value determined in accordance with regulation 25(7A) of the Construction Industry Development Regulations, 2004 (as amended) – As at 23 May 2019 - Class of Construction Works: 3 EP or 3 EB or higher.
A Compulsory Clarification Meeting will be held on 14 November 2022 11:00 at Cloetesville Sports Ground, 27 September Street, Cloestesville, Stellenbosch, 7600. Tenderers who fail to attend the compulsory information session will be regarded as non-compliant.

Local production and content is applicable to this bid. Bidders must use the exchange rate published by the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) at 12:00 on 05 November 2022. The guidance document for the calculation of local content is included in the bid document and is also available on the municipality’s website by following the Supply Chain Management link. If raw material or input to be used for a specific item is not available locally, bidders should obtain written authorisation from the dti should there be a need to import such raw material or input. A copy of the authorisation letter must be submitted together with this tender document at the closing date and time of bid. Please note that the requirements in terms of local production and content are fully contained in the tender document.
A Pre-Qualification Criteria is applicable to this Tender. Tenderers are required to be a registered CIDB 3 EP or 3 EB or higher Contractor and must provide three (3) suitable references to similar completed projects for the tender to be further evaluated in terms of the preference point’s system.
