RATES-BASED TENDER BSM 10/23: DOMESTIC LEAK REPAIR, WATER METER REPLACEMENT AND PRESSURE MANAGEMENT

CLOSING DATE:       Monday, 14 November 2022 at 12h00  - Bids will be opened in the Council Chambers or Supply Chain Management Boardroom.

CIDB :                       Class of Construction Works: CIDB GRADING 5CE or higher.

A Compulsory virtual MS Teams Meeting will be held on 27 October 2022 at 10h00.  The Compulsory Virtual MS Teams Meeting will be held via the App for Microsoft Teams.  Tenderers must ensure to download the App and give the municipality the necessary email address and cell phone number to julia.kearns@smec.com at least 48 hours (25 October 2022 @ 10h00) prior to the meeting to enable the department to setup a virtual meeting.

This is a rates-based tender and the quantities provided in the Schedule of Quantities for this tender will be used to generate a tender value for the financial offer for the purposes of tender evaluation. The tender value does not necessarily reflect the total value of work to be awarded or limit the total work to be awarded.

Since the work is off a routine and repetitive nature, as per the Construction Industry Development Regulations, Inform Practice Note #3, August 2006 (Version 2 - February 2008), the CIDB contractor grading designation is based on the annual estimated value of the contract.

Local production and content are applicable to this bid. Bidders must use the exchange rate published by the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) at 12:00 on 14 October 2022.  Please note that the requirements in terms of local production and content are fully contained in the tender document.
