MAINTENANCE WORK AT BLACKHEATH WATER TREATMENT PLANT

The potable water in your area is supplied by the City of Cape Town and distributed by Stellenbosch Municipality. City of Cape Town gave notice that maintenance on the Blackheath Water Treatment Plant will be conducted from:
MONDAY, 28 FEBRUARY 2022 from 18:00 until THURSDAY, 03 MARCH 2022 at 18:00
Stellenbosch Municipality will fill the reservoirs before the interruption commences to ensure that residents have uninterrupted water supply during the maintenance period. Residents are however requested to use water sparingly during the maintenance period.

Black 240L wheelie bin/s are provided free of charge. There is a monthly collection service fee. This fee is determined by the number of bins and the collection frequency requested.
Please note that customers must indicate their preferred option on the application form.
Option 1: Residential zoned properties; collection once (1) a week – Cost: R264.17 (Vat Incl.) per month per bin
Option 2: Non-residential zoned properties; collection once (1) a week – Cost: R312.40 (Vat Incl.) per month per bin
Option 3: Non-residential zoned properties; collection three (3) times a week – Cost: R937.30 (Vat Incl.) per month per bin
If a bin is stolen, customers must report this to the SAPS to get a case number. This case number should be used to complete the application form for a stolen bin. If a customer chooses not to open a case, a fee of R731.00 (including VAT) is applicable.
